Occasional workshops - Extended yoga practice.

In these extended yoga practices we have more time to experience the poses, attend to deep conscious breathing practices. The morning includes mindful flowing yoga sequences, holding postures with awareness, stability and ease. Everyone is encouraged to practice at their own personal level and pace. The sessions will also include a mindfulness / meditation practice and or a relaxation practice such as Yoga Nidra (a lying down relaxed in the body, but mentally awake and alert practice) to end the session leaving you feeling relaxed but energised.

Our next workshop  -

Posture Energy & the Sacred Spine

20th April 2024

10.00am - 12.15pm

Your spine is a structural and energetic centre of your body. Being upright most of the time in relation to gravity comes at a cost; it puts a lot of pressure on our lumbar curves. Prolonged sitting adds to that pressure. It messes with the shape of our curves and affects the position and hydration of our intervertebral discs. Moving your body and changing its position in relation to gravity is the best way to keep your spine supple and your intervertebral disks healthy and hydrated. In this yoga practice, we aim to lubricate your joints, calm your nervous system, and settle your mind. We will focus on mobilising your spine, releasing tension in your hips and abdomen, and creating an overall sense of stability and calm. We will take time to breathe and move so that you can walk away from this practice feeling warm, stable, nourished, and peaceful.

There will be a short break during the class for raw chocolate energy balls fresh fruit tea/coffee.

This beautiful hall comes with underfloor heating!
